Weightlifting Programs

Our History

Over the past 10 years the 306 weightlifting team (306 W.C.) has experienced incredible success.  Our lifters have broken national and provincial records, qualified for international meets, national championships, and western championships, and picked up a truckload of hardware along the way.

Our 2023-2024 was our best yet! After producing two Jr Canadian champions in 2020 and 2022 with Polina Bespalova followed by Bella Thompson-Hill, Erica Schryer became our third Junior Canadian Champion. Her along with her teammate Brynn Delainey have also qualified for the Commonwealth Championships in Fiji Sept of 2024!

At the Senior Level, Laura Carruthers became a breakout star, and Angela McDade picked up her second medal in two years at the Canadian Senior Championships!

Our programs

We now offer four separate lifting programs to ensure that all athletes have a chance to train at the appropriate level and enjoy their training sessions.

  • Teen High Performance Program
