Drink your water

Another thing that I am working on is making sure that I drink enough water. I am pretty good at this, but I have found that mask wearing has hindered my water drinking. I find that I forget to drink and then at the end of the day, I am parched and spend the rest of the day trying to re-hydrate. Can you relate?

So, I have a reusable Starbucks cup that I keep filled up. I keep one in the car and one by my computer. I try to drink 4-6 of them daily. I also drink tea so, I count that towards by water intake as well.

Water is vital for our survival as well as for optimal health. We are 90% water and most of us do not get enough of it. Water helps to flush waste out of our bodies, it helps to lubricate our joints, helps with mental clarity and also helps with skin health and warding off early signs of aging.

The best ways that I have found to ensure that I drink enough is to have a pre-measured amount to consume. I make sure that I have my water before I reach for food when I am feeling low on fuel. Often, I realize that I wasn't hungry, but thirsty. I also like to add a little cucumber and mint or some lemon to my water to change it up. Hot water in the colder months is also helpful. If you want a little more excitement for your water, you can also opt for sparkling water. If you struggle to remember your water, set a reminder on your phone and keep track of your intake. Find what works for you to get your water in.
