Success Stories at CrossFit 306*
One of the regular members I have the pleasure of coaching in my 7am class is Audrey Evans. Audrey made a great post on her Facebook this morning and I think it worth sharing, and expanding on from a coach’s point of view.
Regardless of where you are at in your fitness journey, I would encourage you to sign up for a competition if you feel the “itch”. Don’t worry about not being able to do a single pull up. That’s what bands are for. Don’t worry where you are going to finish or how long an event might take you. Do it for the enjoyment of it! Get a little bit uncomfortable and you will be surprised just how far you are able to push yourself.
Steve was a founding member of our Fit Over Fifty group. He started with us in the fall of 2018 and has been committed to coming to the gym three times per week since then. Steve works in IT and spends a lot of time behind a desk; like many of us do. Years of not making his health a priority left him in less than ideal shape. He was hurting and he knew it. When Steve started, he was very much reserved, quiet and didn’t have a whole lot of confidence. On Wednesday WOD for our Fit Over Fifty group, Steve called out another member of our group, who runs marathons, in his last 200m run. Steve won! (The friendly competition in this group is phenomenal and pushes them so far).
… I have lost close to 50 lbs + so many inches everywhere, gained muscles I didn’t know I had, I am comfortable in my clothes again, I am happier, I am not out of breath doing simple tasks, and most importantly I am portraying a healthy lifestyle for my kids. ….
A heartfelt message from the father of a family who found connection in the community! It’s a privilege to have them at 306.
306 has ALL fitness levels, young and old and world class coaching to teach you what to do and how to do it. It's dummy proof.. all you have to do is show up and put in the work....
"Fast forward just over three years. 306 has become my home away from home - my refuge- and it has reshaped my life (and my husband’s, too)...."
"I am so grateful for crossfit and the opportunities it has given me to better my self worth and myself as a whole. I am so grateful for this amazing sport that introduced me to things I never thought I was capable of, and some of the most amazing and supportive people that I have ever met..."
"In the 15 months since joining CrossFit, I’ve developed 20% above average skeletal muscle mass and lowered my body fat percentage to close to 10%. My body is now burning more calories while I sit on my butt and type this out. Score!"
"I will be 60 this year. My prime motivation for doing the workouts is to be able to take care of myself until the day I die. But I have to admit, looking great in a bathing suit next to all the other 60 some things on vacation, and having my husband appreciate the effort is a really nice side effect...."
"I was hitting PRs every week and for the first time in a long time I was really happy with my health. My inhaler was obsolete and my skin completely cleared up, I hadn’t touched any of my medication in months. I have joked that Jason has the ability to cure asthma... a little pump to his ego yes, but true nonetheless!"
" If not for the support and encouragement I may not be where I am today. I have never trained at any other gym yet I could not imagine training anywhere else but at Reebok CrossFit 306. "
"We laugh, we push, we commit, we sweat (damn, do we sweat!), we cheer, we grunt, and we even swear and bleed sometimes, but every single workout is a rewarding accomplishment where there are no regrets. I’m looking forward to continuing a long and healthy relationship with my new love – CrossFit."

"Crossfit has positively impacted my life in so many ways, other than just physically. It has changed my perspective about what "healthy" looks like. I no longer wish to look like the skinny girl in a magazine or focus on what the bathroom scale says, it's really about feeling better. "
