I am not sure if this is just me, but as a kid, we spent the month before Christmas baking about a million different things and freezing them so we could have enough for the holidays. Plus, the best was sneaking into the deep freeze and getting a frozen jam jam cookie or nanaimo bar.
I feel like we don't bake as much. The kids used to go over to Grandma's and help with the cinnamon buns or whatever else she was making. Did you have traditions like that? You can still have the kids bake with a loved one, it just takes a little more planning. Set up a zoom meeting and plan a time. You can bake together and have a nice little visit at the same time. It's not perfect and obviously, it's always better in person, but it's an option to stay connected and have something to look forward to. You can also pick different recipes to bake together and if you live nearby, you can do a driveway swap of goodies.
Your house will smell yummy and you will have some tasty treats to enjoy or share with your "bubble". Feel free to share you favorite recipes in the comments. Happy baking 😀
