Rest and recovery 1-2-3 rule according to Dr. Greg Wells
1 HOURS: Spend 60 minutes every day on exercise, meditation, reading, journaling, or having a great meal with your family. Make a daily commitment to your recovery and regeneration.
2 DAYS: Disconnect completely for one full weekend every month - no technology whatsoever. Read, go to the park, or ride your bike. You'll be amazed: Come Monday morning, no one will have noticed you were offline. Meanwhile, you'll feel a renewed sense of clarity and energy.
3 WEEKS: Take an expended holiday (3 weeks is ideal but take as many days in a row as you can). Collect your loved ones and go. Get off the grid. Disconnect. Go deep into a place of restoration.
I know that the holiday sounds amazing, yet impossible at this time. I promise that as soon as I can, I will be doing that one. In the meantime, I will be trying to limit my technology, even work related. It's too easy to always be available and working especially when we really can't go anywhere. I mean, you made as well work, right? Setting boundaries even with yourself is so important.
