Exposing weaknesses and showcasing strength, the beauty of the Open

Week four is officially in the books, 306 sits in 2nd place with only one WOD to go.

I find the Open to be a great litmus test to see where we are strong (deadlifts) and where we need more work (MU).  So far we have demonstrated great balance across all WODs, we have placed no less then 6th and as high as second.  An incredible accomplishment and a testament to how well rounded our program and our athletes are.

As great as our results are within our region I want us to strive to be competitive internationally.  For those who say why?  My response is simply why not?  There are NO reasons why gyms in certain areas of the World can produce better athletes.  It is our job to first believe that Saskatoon can be a hot bed of CF, and that 306 will produce Games level athletes.

Once you truly start believing it you can then start to make it happen.  Now to do this it takes a lot of work, dedication, and a strong supportive community.  I believe we have the ingredients.  As I find barriers to producing greatness I quickly find ways to take those down.  We keep adding key personal to our staff,  I constantly try and develop my skills as a programmer and coach to ensure our athletes get the best possible training.

I ask this to you, my 306 athletes, if you find anything that you believe can help us move forward as an affiliate, bring it to me and we'll consider it's merits.

Great job on 14.4 306!  You are an inspiring bunch!
