1st Annual Reebok CrossFit 306 PowerLifting Meet

Hey Reebok Crossfit 306:

The time has come to showcase your strength!

Over the winter we've provided Powerlifting sessions with one primary objective: getting you strong. As many of you have come to understand, one of the most straightforward ways to improve as a Crossfit athlete is by increasing your baseline strength.
To culminate all of our hard work, Reebok Crossfit 306 will be hosting the 1st Annual Reebok 306 Open Powerlifting Meet on Saturday, May 11th, 2013.

The sport of Powerlifting features three lifts: the squat, bench press and deadlift, performed in that order. Each lift has three attempts, with the highest successful attempt from each lift forming total score. Competition will take place against one another in weight and age classes. However, once entries are received, we'll decide on top awards, most likely the Top 3 Male and Female lifters based on Wilks score (calculated by total and body weight).

Naturally, the next block of our Wednesdays and Sunday Powerlifting sessions have been designed to ensure your success at a Powerlifting meet. Given the progressive nature of peaking programs, with each session building on the last, consistent attendance is encouraged. We aim to offer a conclusive program, covering everything from the rules of Powerlifting, to proper technique and attempt selection.

Entry forms can be found at the front desk, or from Marc or Connor at Powerlifting. Please sign up early, as we expect this event to fill up fast, and will be capped at a maximum of 28 lifters.
