Consistency Challenge 2025

January is traditionally the time where we re-set and set our goals for the year. Did you know that improving fitness ranks as a top goal for North Americans at 48% saying it’s a top priority and another 36% say that mental health tops the list. There are 55% of people that see both physical and mental health as equally important. Fun fact - CrossFit ticks both those boxes!

Being in the wellness space for the past 30 years, I can attest to this. Even 30 years ago, when I worked at a “regular gym”, I remember waiting until the end of January so that I could work out without waiting for everything. I knew that this huge crew of people would be good for 2, maybe 3 weeks and then I could get my space back.

Why is this? Honestly, I think people come in with good intentions and are really fired up about getting into shape, losing that Christmas fluff and on the road to the “summer shred”. Usually, people go in too hard, training with too much volume, restricting diets and trying to commit to something that isn’t sustainable. Before long, old habits creep in, life happens until the next season of goal setting.

The key is consistency over time. You are better to commit to training 3 x per week and actually stick to it rather than do double days for 6 days a week and quit after 2 weeks or a month. With this in mind, we are having a consistency challenge contest. Every time you train, you can enter your name to win a wellness package. We will have a ballot box set up at the gym.
