Just keeps on Growing!

As our membership keeps on growing, your coaches are looking for ways to continue to deliver the exceptional coaching that 306 has become known for.  As such, we will be adding more classes to serve you better.  The new classes effective next week will be as follows:
Regular WODs : Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9AM
Olympic Lifting Classes : Wednesday's at 7PM until 8:30PM

Thanks Everyone

So we are off.  Today Laura, Courtney, Rebecca, Aaron, Brett, Ty and myself are all off to represent Reebok CrossFit 306 at the Canadian CrossFIt Regional in Vancouver.  The Regionals are the second step after the Open to qualify for the CrossFit Games.  As a new gym to have qualified a full team plus an individual is an incredible feat.  Considering that 66 000 athletes began the Worldwide Open in February and that only 2000 remain at the regional level, this further brings validity to the quality of our athletes, coaches and our community.  The only way that winning teams are built is when they have a great community behind them.  I know for a fact that since our inaugural day on Dec 1st we were building something special.  As we had add more members to our community on a daily basis we have stuck to our pricinples of community and technical mastery above all else.  Thanks everyone for pushing everyday and making 306 my favorite place to spends most of my waking hours.

As our coaches will be gone through the weekend, Ryan and Corey have offered to step in and take over the coaching responsibilities for Thursday and Friday.   Ryan and Corey have full time carreers and many other commitments so for them to help us out is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested on following our athletes progress through the weekend you can follow us on Facebook.   Stef Hughs, a marketing guru by day, and a CrossFitting Socialite by night has offered to keep the updates frequent for us.

Thanks everyone and we will see you on Monday.

306 moves up to Second!

Congrats to all of you phenomenal athletes.  The most technical WOD of the Open was posted and the 306 athletes showed they were up for the challenge.  The bulk of our athletes made it through 90 Double Unders, that is on the heels of 150 Wall Balls.  A very impressive feat, well done.  We had some incredible performances throughout the weekend.  Logan and Matt Hartery each successfully landed their MU in the last ten seconds of the   WOD.  The equivalent of hitting a three pointer at the buzzer in basketball.  Aaron Parker delivered a gutsy performance this morning and completed 12 Muscle Ups, outstanding.  As a result of all these incredible performances 306 now finds itself tied for 2nd in the West, with only one week left.  Exciting times!

Remember lets all celebrate the CrossFit Games Open with a season ending BBQ next Saturday from noon-4 at your favorite spot;)

Snowy Tuesday

Well the snow didn't stop are athletes from coming in for a 306 painfest! Great work from everyone! You all dug deep until the last second of each cycle and you all killed it! Couple highlights from today was Drew Dubnyk and Camron Mini both got their muscle-ups today, so congrats to them both! Michelle and one of our newest members Kristen went head to head at the 6 o'clock class and it was pretty awesome to see, great job ladies and glad to have you on the 306 team Kristen! Like we say all the time, you all are rockstars and the improvements increase daily! Keep up the hard work guys and gals and anything is possible!

12.2 A Thrilling Day of Snatches

Well after Rd 1 of the open we couldn't believe that Rd 2 could be more exciting.  Well was it ever!  An electrifying supportive atmosphere would set the stage for our athletes to put an incredible display.  Pr's were happening so fast that we could barely keep track.  Dave Marsh put up an incredible 85 Snatches, Jesse Buydens scored an incredible 90 reps, and Jeremy "Bones" hit a 15 lbs PR.  None of this could ever of happened without all of you support each other.  Keep supporting each other and the World will be ours!
